I scheduled my haircuts all the way up to my wedding. 4! I only have 4 haircuts left!! Jeff says that is no consolation.
Someone called him my husband the other night. He said he likes the sound of that.
We got his ring re-sized. He tried it on and refused to take it off. (By the way, you cannot re-size Tungsten. You have to exchange it for a smaller size. )

Dilemma
This is where I want to get married. The view is amazing, it is close to my house, and ever since they announced it, I wanted to be married here. They haven't even announced anything about the dedication, yet. Devin says it will be open, he just knows it. I hope he is right.
This is where I will probably get married. They have already announced the dedication. Jeff and I walked around it a few weeks ago. It's beautiful, but not 100% of what I want. I don't dream about this one like I do Oquirrh Mountain. I know I am being silly, but I can't help it.
This picture was taken November 14- so it is extremely close to being done.Monday, November 17, 2008
Look!
I also got a gift certificate for $100 for purchasing the ring on Saturday. Hmmm...I smell new jewelry to go with my new dress.

Lazy
I am a lazy bum. I have 206 days until my wedding, and I don't feel like doing anything.
Ah, procrastination- why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?

YEAH!!
I know it is early, but I am working on our Smith family budget. Jeff thinks I am being silly, but I need to know what we are up against and where we need to cut costs.
We are putting our deposit on our new apartment this weekend. I want to make sure we can make the rent, and have money to save. Is that just the accounting nerd in me?
I put all of our income against all of our expenses as of today. I was freaking out because of what we each spend on health insurance, car insurance and cell phones. Jeff kept reminding me that we will be combining all of those payments. I know I looked at him like a deer in headlights.
So, we pulled out his Employee Benefits book. Oh wow!! When we get married and I am on his insurance, we will be saving so much money. I can't wait to consolidate our auto insurance and our cell phones.
I love that Jeff gets such great deals through work. He is my hero!

This is where I want to live
Jeff and I are apartment hunting. So much fun. Today we checked out San Moritz. They are currently building it. It's going to be so cool. It is where I want to live. I really do. Jeff needs a little more convincing.
I love the open kitchens, the Roman tub in the master bathroom, the mountain views, 24-hour fitness center, the new appliances, it's 5-star energy rated, the fact that no one else has had their grubby feet on my carpet or in my shower, I just love it!Wednesday, October 1, 2008
Dress shopping- Day 2
UGH! I am so tired of trying on dresses and getting depressed. Why are the sample sizes so small? The largest size this place had was a 10. I could barely fit my upper thigh into half the dresses, and I don't consider myself a big girl (maybe I am fooling myself).
This dress was cute- again, only a size ten, so I don't have my hands on my hips because I am mad, I needed to hold the dress closed.
Sarah and I laughed so hard at this dress. So we had to get a picture. I don't know of anyone who would want to add so much room for their hips.
Cute, right? And look at my hands. This one zipped up!
Here is a close up. You see that green paper. I was fanning myself. Why do dressing rooms have to be so hot?

Here is yet another dress. I loved the material, but not the form fitting cups. My girls don't need pre-fab boobs, I have plenty of my own.

Well, the bad news is trying on dresses depressed me. (They tell you not to look at the size, but if you try on 100 dresses and can only zip or lace up 5 of them, it is pretty sad). The good news is, I ordered my dress yesterday.
Which one? Well, you'll just have to wait and see won't you?

To stand in a line, or not to stand in a line
Jeff and I are talking about the different things we want on our wedding day. He wants a German Chocolate Cake (ew, coconut), so I will be getting him his own personal German Chocolate Cake. Easy, right?
Here is a dilemma. His mother is contributing to this wedding. Which, I do not have a problem with. I have a problem saying no to people. This is my test right now. I am stubborn and have my own ideas of how I want things done, yet I don't like to say no to people, especially when they are paying for a few things.
She wants a reception line. He told her tonight that this is going to be a very casual reception with no line. Her reaction was, "How is my family going to know who her family is?" My answer? Have you seen my family? We are all carbon copies of each other. Jeff doesn't want a line, and neither do I. We plan on mingling among the small throng of people who will be there (we are thinking small. We hope lots of people will come, but we both know we have ditched out on a ton of receptions).
What are your thoughts? Line or no line? Keep in mind, we are not going to do a line. I just want to hear what you have to say.

A walk down memory lane
Jeff and I met on eHarmony. Well, we were matched up on eHarmony. We met at the 7200 S Trax Station.
I got a text from him today. He asked me to print out our emails. So, I did. Then, I started to read them. They were so cute. I loved reading through what we said to each other before we had ever met.

I love, love, love this guy! I can't wait to marry him!

The first day of dress shopping
Keep in mind the dressing room was stifling. I was sweating like a pig the whole time. Most of the dresses I tried on made my arms look like linked sausages and my boobs look like bowling balls.
The first dress that I could actually zip up. The room we were in was about 180 degrees, so my makeup has slid off and my hair was plastered to my head. I think my facial expression was heat exhaustion.

Jeff and I have been talking about getting married for a while. I knew a proposal was coming, I just didn't know when.
Sunday he went to church with me and then we went to his parent's house for dinner. After we ate, everyone was sitting around talking (everyone being his mom and dad, his niece, his sister, her husband and their two boys). Jeff stood up and I gave him a look like, "what are you doing?" He got everyone's attention. He talked about how his life had been rough, he had been unhappy and then he met me. This year has been a huge turning point in his life and he couldn't imagine life without me.
He walked towards me and got down on one knee. I hissed, "You're embarrassing me." He just simply asked me to marry him. I said yes!
Tears and hugs all around. His niece and nephew wrote a poem that was so tender and we plan to display it at our reception.
