Bridals

Yesterday afternoon I had my bridal sitting. It was a lot of fun. I hate being the center of attention (believe it or not), but I felt so pretty in my dress.

Nicole picked a great place for the pictures. It was an old farmhouse in Pleasant Grove. The windows were broken out, the wallpaper peeling, the floorboards not so secure. It was perfect. The sun was shining and the snow hadn't made the yard too muddy.

I can't wait to give you a sneak peek.

Engagements and invitations

We had our engagement pictures taken on Saturday- well before the wind, chill and snow blew in. It was a lot of fun. I laughed, I got covered in grass, but luckily not dog poop. (we checked around before hitting the ground). Jeff was working it, like always.

Then, last night, we started the finishing touches on our invitations. Jeff's niece helped us for a little bit. We even got Grandma to let her stay up a half an hour later, with a promise she would wake up the first time she was called this morning. After 10 minutes I think she got bored. She started playing 20 questions with me. Dang! I can't even keep my cheap labor working.

HELP!

I need to figure out how to get a light in the center of these lanterns. Any ideas? I am having strings of lights drape the ceiling, and these little guys hanging from the strings.

Flowers

Last Saturday (the 21st), Jeff, his mom, his niece and I went to lunch and then over to Skyline Flowers to pick out my bouquet.

I am so excited about it.
There will be white lilies.

Red tulips.

And red roses.
I knew I wanted tulips since they are my favorite flower. I am excited to see it all put together.
I ordered the bouquet, the boutonnieres and corsages. Jeff's grandmother passed away that night, so we decided that we are going to still get her corsage and place in on her headstone. She was so excited that Jeff found his eternal sweetheart (that is what she always called her husband), and we know that she will be with us in spirit on our wedding day.
